Lumiai Cinema in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, has gained social media attention for offering a specialized midday nap service. Designed to increase the utilization of screening rooms during low-traffic weekdays, the service has been operational since April 2025.

The facility provides two dedicated halls featuring 76 adjustable seats that can recline completely flat. Customers can choose between a Leisure Screening Hall with wider seats or a Massage Seat Hall equipped with massage chairs. The service is available on weekdays from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM.

Subscription options include a monthly pass for 39.9 yuan for individuals or 59.9 yuan for two people. While blankets, coffee, and various drinks are provided for free, customers can purchase earplugs and eye masks for 5.9 yuan. To maintain a quiet environment, patrons must silence mobile phones, and staff may direct snoring individuals to less crowded halls to ensure the comfort of others.
