Lumina film to premiere at Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival

The Romanian film ‘Lumina’ (Holy Light), written and directed by Marian Crișan, will have its world premiere at the 30th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. The film has been selected for the International Competition Programme for Youth Feature Films within the Just Film festival.

Set in the Apuseni Mountains of western Romania, the story follows a 10-year-old boy, played by Andrei Voicu, on a suspenseful journey to bring the Holy Light of Easter to his village. Director Marian Crișan described the film as an exploration of faith, childhood, and the connection between the sacred and immediate reality.

The production is a co-production involving Rova Film and Papa Pictures from Romania, Alternative Cinema from Moldova, and Nukleon Frame from Slovakia. Following its international debut, the film is expected to premiere in Romania in late autumn.
