Lumio launches Aura 5 Hi-Fi bookshelf speakers in India

Lumio has entered the home audio market with the launch of the Aura 5, an active Hi-Fi bookshelf speaker system. The system is designed to function without the need for a separate AV receiver, pre-amplifier, or external power amplifier by integrating amplification and processing directly into the speakers.

The Aura 5 features a two-way driver arrangement housed in high-density composite wood cabinets to reduce resonance. The hardware includes a 1-inch silk dome tweeter and a 4.5-inch aluminium cone woofer. The integrated amplifier provides 100W RMS sustained power, with a peak output of 200W.

Technical measurements indicate a frequency response of 35Hz to 20kHz at ±3dB and a sustained sound pressure level of 105dB, with total harmonic distortion kept below 1%. For digital playback, the onboard digital-to-analogue converter supports lossless playback up to 24-bit/48kHz, utilizing an isolated, low-noise analogue supply rail to minimize electrical interference.
