Luna Jordan's final series ‘Wake Up’ to air on ZDF

The German broadcaster ZDF has announced the release dates for the near-future drama series ‘Wake Up’, which features one of the final roles of actress Luna Jordan. The 25-year-old Berlin-born actress passed away unexpectedly in May.

Based on J. K. Messums novel ‘Husk’, the six-part series follows the character Emilia, who participates in a nanobot-related anxiety therapy study. The series premiered at the Munich Film Festival in June, where it received the Bernd Burgemeister Television Award for best TV series.

‘Wake Up’ will be available for streaming on the ZDF portal starting October 23, with linear broadcasts on ZDFneo beginning October 28. Another report indicates a broadcast start date of September 12 on ZDFneo.
