Luna Park nightclub owners file legal injunction against El Alto Mayor's Office
The conflict regarding the opening of the Luna Park nightclub in the Ciudad Satélite neighborhood of El Alto has escalated to a legal battle. The establishment's owners have filed a constitutional injunction (amparo constitucional) against the Mayor's Office.
In response, the Municipal Secretary of El Alto, Elio Pacheco, stated that the administration will take legal action to defend its position and will provide legal assistance to residents involved in the judicial processes. Pacheco emphasized that the municipality will not prioritize economic interests over the safety and tranquility of the neighborhood, asserting that the city will continue operations to control the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages.
Local residents and community leaders have reaffirmed their opposition to the nightclub, alleging that they are being intimidated through legal actions. They noted that the owners have failed to attend community assemblies to present necessary documentation or explain the project.
