Luna Zarattini links Brazil's future to Lula's reelection

Luna Zarattini, the most voted federal deputy for the Workers' Party (PT) in São Paulo, has stated that the future of Brazil and the consolidation of social rights depend on the reelection of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

Zarattini highlighted several recent government achievements and proposals as key drivers for the campaign, including the legislative approval to end the 6x1 work scale, which will allow workers two consecutive days of rest starting later this year. She also noted adjustments to the Bolsa Família program, the expansion of the Pé-de-Meia initiative for university students, the possibility of zero-fare public transport on weekends, and the launch of the Prospera MEI program for micro-entrepreneurs.

The deputy emphasized the importance of youth mobilization in street protests and digital platforms, arguing that young people are central to the current political momentum. Furthermore, she suggested that a victory for Lula would provide relief for progressive movements across Latin America in the face of rising far-right influence in the region.
