Lundin Mining awards 212 community projects in Atacama

Lundin Mining has concluded the 2026 adjudication process for its ‘Juntos Crecemos’ competitive fund, awarding resources to 212 projects in the Atacama region of Chile. This initiative marks the first time the company has integrated the social investment experiences of its Caserones and Candelaria operations into a single program.

Ceremonies were held in Tierra Amarilla, Los Loros, and Caldera to recognize entrepreneurs, local businesses, and social organizations. The funding is designed to strengthen community development through five specific lines: support for entrepreneurs in the process of formalization, support for businesses and micro-enterprises, strengthening of social organizations, sports and education, and culture and the environment.

The program maintains a territorial focus, with Caserones targeting rural sectors of Tierra Amarilla and Candelaria focusing on urban Tierra Amarilla, Copiapó, and Caldera.
