Lunel hosts French Individual Bowling Championship
The final day of the French individual bowling (quilles) season took place on 9 August in Lunel, bringing together the country's 240 top bowlers from youth to veteran categories. The event was organized by the local club with the help of eight commissions and about 150 volunteers, operating on a budget of roughly €60,000.
Club co‑presidents Clément Layrac and Tristan Fayel oversaw preparations that began in September, including a complete overhaul of the playing area and the introduction of a new interview zone and radar game. More than 87 club members participated this season, and the organizers aimed to deliver a memorable finale for the sport’s most celebrated venue.
The championship concluded with the crowning of the national individual titles, marking Lunel’s return as host 17 years after its previous edition.
