Lung cancer warning: Subtle physical signs to watch for

Doctors are warning that lung cancer can present with subtle symptoms that are often mistaken for minor ailments. While persistent coughing, chest pain, shortness of breath, and coughing up blood are well-known indicators, other physical changes may serve as early warning signs.

Two specific abnormalities highlighted include:

Prolonged, unexplained leg swelling: While swelling can result from standing too long or dietary factors, persistent or recurring edema may be linked to circulation or lymphatic system changes associated with cancer.
