Lungobisenzio Stadium capacity increased ahead of Prato vs Ternana match
The Lungobisenzio Stadium in Prato has received official approval to increase its maximum capacity for daytime football matches. Following a technical inspection and a review of supplementary documentation, the local commission for public entertainment oversight has authorized the expansion from 2,000 to approximately 3,000 spectators.
This decision comes ahead of the upcoming match between AC Prato and Ternana Calcio. The capacity increase is intended to address high ticket demand, as the initial allocation of 200 tickets for visiting Ternana fans sold out within an hour. The expansion will become fully operational once the club completes final requirements, such as adjusting LED boards to improve visibility for spectators with disabilities.
Mayor Matteo Biffoni noted that while this increase is a significant step, the club is already working toward further expansions in the future.
