Lungpacer and Procode Advance Medical Billing Reimbursement

Lungpacer Medical announced that the American Medical Association assigned three Category III Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes to its AeroPace diaphragm neurostimulation system, effective 1 July. The new codes let hospitals document temporary transvenous diaphragm stimulation for patients on prolonged mechanical ventilation and supplement a New Technology Add‑On Payment (NTAP) from CMS that provides up to about $23,650 per qualifying case.

Procode Inc. secured a $10 million Series A round led by Health Velocity Capital, bringing total venture funding to $14 million. The capital will fund two acquisitions of private‑practice billing agencies and expand the company’s AI‑driven surgical revenue‑cycle management platform, which recent research shows 86.7 % coding accuracy, far above human auditors and general‑purpose large language models.
