Luo Zhiming assumes presidency of Pingtung County Hometown Association

Luo Zhiming has officially taken office as the fourth president of the Republic of China Pingtung County Hometown Association during a handover ceremony held in Taipei on October 31. He succeeds the third president, Wang Guangxiang.

Luo outlined four primary objectives for his term: fostering harmonious service among various regional hometown associations, directing resources and care back to Pingtung, encouraging youth participation to ensure generational succession, and utilizing artificial intelligence to modernize information sharing among members.

The association is a non-profit organization supervised by the Ministry of the Interior. Its mission includes maintaining connections between Pingtung natives across Taiwan, providing emergency assistance, promoting local culture, honoring outstanding community members, and offering scholarships to students from Pingtung families.
