Luodong Town Farmers' Association celebrates 110th anniversary

The Luodong Town Farmers' Association is celebrating its 110th anniversary with a commemorative event held on September 19. The celebration, co-organized by the Yilan County Government and the Eastern District Branch of the Agriculture and Food Agency under the Ministry of Agriculture, marks over a century of service to the local agricultural community.

As part of the festivities, the association conducted a “Century Inheritance, Strong Bat Strike” charity ceremony, donating NT$120,000 to the Zhulin Elementary School baseball team to support youth sports development. The ceremony featured young players presenting commemorative “No. 110” jerseys to the association’s leadership, symbolizing the passing of responsibility and spirit between generations.

The event also showcased local agricultural innovation through food and agriculture education, youth farmer experiences, and the promotion of domestic products. Featured items included new products such as “Golden Buckwheat Dew” and “Yilan Organic Soy Milk,” highlighting the transition from raw production to value-added processing and brand marketing.
