Lupita Nyong'o honors Chadwick Boseman on sixth anniversary of death

Actress Lupita Nyong’o shared an emotional tribute on Instagram to honor her former co-star Chadwick Boseman, marking the sixth anniversary of his passing. Boseman, who starred as T’Challa in the 2018 Marvel film ‘Black Panther’, died on August 28, 2020, at the age of 43 following a private battle with colon cancer.

In her message, Nyong’o encouraged followers to cherish their loved ones, stating, “Hold on to those you love who love you back. Tell them you love them. Show them you love them. You’ll miss them when they’re gone.”

Nyong’o and Boseman worked together on ‘Black Panther’ and later appeared in the 2022 sequel ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, a film centered on the mourning of Boseman’s character. The actress has previously spoken about the profound impact of his death, describing the grief as a “punch to my gut every morning.”
