Lupiya commits K500 million to broaden financial inclusion across Africa

Zambia‑based fintech Lupiya, marking its 10th anniversary, announced a commitment to disburse an additional K500 million in loans over the next decade. The company, which began with K6,000 capital and has already provided more than K500 million to over 120,000 customers, operates in all ten Zambian provinces and two other African countries.

Lupiya’s plan targets small businesses, farmers, traders and women entrepreneurs, aiming to deepen financial inclusion throughout East and Southern Africa before expanding further across the continent. It also calls for stronger partnerships with banks, mobile‑network operators, technology firms, investors and regulators to accelerate its pan‑African growth strategy.
