Luque woman reports theft of mother's debit card from ATM

A woman in Luque, Paraguay, has reported the theft of her mother's debit card after it was left in an ATM. The card, issued by the Banco Nacional de Fomento (BNF), belonged to Elisa Roa Viuda de Burgos.

CCTV footage captured a woman using the card to make several small purchases at various businesses, totaling approximately 500,000 guaraníes. The perpetrator reportedly made multiple smaller transactions to avoid the requirement of a PIN.

The incident was reported to the 3rd Police Station of Luque, where authorities are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the involved businesses to identify the suspects. The victim has appealed for the individuals involved to contact her, noting that the funds were intended for her mother's medication.
