Sergio Moro announces administrative reforms in Paraná
Sergio Moro, the governor-elect of Paraná, has announced plans to reorganize the state's administrative structure by reducing the number of state secretariats. Aiming to decrease bureaucracy and contain expenses, Moro intends to transition from the current 24 secretariats to a leaner model, with specific names for his cabinet to be revealed gradually.
Moro confirmed that the transition process is underway, involving discussions with current governor Ratinho Junior and the president of the Legislative Assembly, Alexandre Curi. The transition aims to provide a clear overview of the state's finances and ongoing programs to ensure new measures can be implemented immediately upon taking office in January 2027.
In addition to administrative restructuring, Moro pledged to prioritize combating organized crime through task forces, developing a maximum-security prison, and continuing essential public works, such as the duplication of BR-277.
