Luís Montenegro leads Portuguese television media exposure rankings

Prime Minister Luís Montenegro has returned to the top of the television media exposure rankings according to Telenews, a service by MediaMonitor from the Marktest Group. In August, Montenegro appeared in 104 news segments, totaling 4 hours and 25 minutes of coverage.

André Ventura, president of the Chega party, returned to second place with 80 news segments totaling 3 hours and 16 minutes. President António Costa holds the third position, appearing in 82 news segments for a total of 3 hours and 9 minutes. Luís Neves, Minister of Internal Administration, dropped from second to fifth place, appearing in 57 news segments.

Other notable figures in the top ten include José Luís Carneiro, Marco Silva, Ana Paula Martins, and Fernando Alexandre. During August, the three main open-signal television channels—RTP1, SIC, and TVI—broadcasted 254 hours of regular news, representing a 6.3% monthly increase.
