Prime Minister Luís Montenegro visited Humberto Delgado Airport in Lisbon to inspect investments aimed at reducing constraints for passengers arriving from outside the European Union. Starting September 6, biometric data collection for these passengers will become mandatory at 100%. Montenegro stated that performance has significantly improved at major airports, specifically mentioning Lisbon, Faro, and Porto.

In defense news, Portugal has purchased 75 VAMTAC tactical vehicles for the Navy, representing an investment of 133 million euros.
