Luís Represas tribute concerts scheduled for April 2027

A series of tribute concerts titled “Fora de Tempo” will be held in April 2027 at the Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisbon and the Coliseu do Porto to honor the late Portuguese musician Luís Represas. Originally planned to celebrate his 50-year career, the events have been transformed into a memorial following his death. The lineup includes a diverse group of artists such as Ana Moura, Camané, Luísa Sobral, Rui Veloso, and members of his former group, Trovante.

In other cultural news, the Festival Músicas do Mundo (FMM) has announced it will take place earlier than usual, from July 16 to 24, 2027, in Porto Covo and Sines. This scheduling change is due to the Tall Ships 2027 event occurring in Sines at the end of July. Local authorities noted that while both events are economically beneficial, the overlap will place significant pressure on local hospitality and catering services.

Additionally, the Águeda Red Cross Mixed Choir will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a free concert titled “20 Anos: Pontes de Harmonia” on October 3 at the Águeda Arts Center, featuring collaborations with groups from Spain and Fermentelos. Meanwhile, the Casa da Música in Porto will host a live performance of the soundtrack for the Portuguese video game “The Tinto & The Ugly” on October 4.
