Luísa Sonza shares mental health management strategies

Brazilian singer Luísa Sonza has shared details regarding her personal strategies for managing mental health, specifically addressing depression and generalized anxiety disorder. During the ‘Setembro Amarelo’ awareness month, the artist outlined several lifestyle habits she uses to prevent crises.

Sonza emphasized the importance of maintaining an organized routine, practicing physical exercise, and limiting screen time. She noted that she avoids phone notifications and vibrations due to past negative experiences that have created psychological triggers. Additionally, she highlighted the value of social connection with friends and pets, as well as the need to separate her personal life from her career as a pop artist.

Psychiatrist Tales Vilela commented on the singer's approach, noting that while physical activity can help regulate mood, sleep, and anxiety, it is not a substitute for psychotherapy, psychiatric monitoring, or medication. Vilela added that maintaining a consistent routine provides a necessary structure for individuals struggling with depressive symptoms.
