Luster leads field for upcoming King’s Plate

The upcoming King’s Plate features a competitive field led by the even-money favourite Luster, the Woodbine Oaks champion. Trained by Hall of Fame trainer Josie Carroll, Luster will start from the No. 1 post and carries 121 pounds.

Other notable contenders include Brachetto, the 5-1 second choice, and Highwaytothemoon, the 6-1 third pick and winner of the $200,000 Plate Trial. Dixie Law, who finished second to Luster in the Oaks, will also compete, carrying the same 121 pounds as the fillies.

Additional entries include Baaeed Alynna and Very Special. Trainer Attard noted that Very Special, who previously missed the Plate Trial due to a veterinary scratch, will wear blinkers for this race.
