Žlutý kopec in Brno to be revitalized with new park and viewpoints

The Brno-střed district has announced plans to revitalize Žlutý kopec with a new park featuring city viewpoints. The project aims to create a pedestrian connection between Vaňkovo náměstí and Old Brno, covering approximately 38,000 square meters.

The development includes manicured areas near Vaňkovo náměstí and the former Kréta brewery cellars, which will feature a pergola with climbing vines and a new cafe with a terrace overlooking Brno and Špilberk Castle. While the lower parts of the park will maintain a wild character with natural vegetation regrowth, the project involves an estimated cost of 150 million CZK.
