Lutfi Haziri considers LDK leadership candidacy

Lutfi Haziri, Vice President of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), has indicated he may consider a candidacy for the party's leadership. He stated that such a decision would depend entirely on requests from the party's voters and the Rugovist base.

Haziri noted that internal LDK elections are expected to occur soon and suggested the race could feature several potential candidates due to recent political developments. He remarked that, for the first time, the party president did not visit LDK offices, attributing this to internal circumstances rather than external fault.

In a separate commentary regarding the political landscape, Haziri claimed that events on September 16 marked a shift in Kosovo's political scene. He credited the mobilization of youth, veterans, and various political figures to organizer Çlirim Haziri and the 'Not in my name' protests. Haziri suggested these developments have impacted Prime Minister Albin Kurti's ability to utilize youth mobilization as a political tool.
