Luviwe Sambudla takes F4 India championship lead in Chennai
Luviwe Sambudla of Goa Aces JA Racing has taken the lead in the F4 Indian Championship following a dominant performance at the Madras International Circuit in Chennai. During Round 3 of the Indian Racing Festival 2026, Sambudla secured two victories and a third-place finish, turning a five-point deficit into a 21-point championship advantage. He currently holds 138 points, leading Aris Kyriakou of Kings Bengaluru, who has 117 points.
The weekend was also marked by a historic achievement by 15-year-old Aaron Mehta of the Kolkata Royal Tigers, who became the youngest race winner in the championship’s history by securing a victory in the final race.
Racing conditions were complicated by wet weather, which tested the drivers across the 3.717-kilometre circuit. Ntiyiso Mabunda of Speed Demons Delhi delivered a strong performance, finishing second in all three races of the weekend.
