Global automotive market sees surge in EV and hybrid model launches
The global automotive market is seeing a surge in new model launches, particularly in the electric vehicle (EV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) segments.
In China, several major releases have been announced. Huawei-enabled brands are expanding, with the Luxeed RX showcasing advanced aerodynamics and intelligent lighting. Dongfeng's Xinghai V6 has entered pre-sale, offering Huawei Qiankun intelligent driving at a competitive price point. Additionally, the Zunji brand has launched its V800 and V680 flagship MPVs, targeting the ultra-luxury market with high-tech features and expansive interior space. MG has also expanded its MG 07 lineup with a PHEV version capable of 245 km of pure electric range. Chery has launched the 2027 Arrizo 8 PRO, emphasizing performance and intelligent driving.
In other regions, BYD is expanding its footprint. The Atto 3 Evo is arriving in New Zealand with updated architecture and multiple powertrain options, while the Dolphin G DM-i is entering the Polish market as a budget-friendly PHEV hatchback. GAC is offering price reductions on the EMZOOM SUV in Poland. Toyota has introduced the bZ4X Touring, an electric estate with enhanced off-road capabilities and efficiency. Meanwhile, Jetour has introduced the F700, a high-performance hybrid luxury pickup. In Saudi Arabia, Haval has unveiled the 2027 V7 SUV, featuring advanced driver assistance and a 2.0T engine.
