Luxeed launches RX electric SUV in China with Huawei technology
Luxeed, a brand jointly developed by Huawei and Chery, has officially launched the RX electric coupe SUV in China. The vehicle is priced starting at 259,800 yuan (approximately $38,550), positioning it against competitors such as the Xiaomi YU7 and Tesla Model Y.
The Luxeed RX is built on Huawei’s Tuling platform and features a high-performance electric drive system. It offers a CLTC range of up to 852 km depending on the battery configuration, which includes options for an 81 kWh LFP pack or a 100 kWh ternary lithium pack. The SUV is notable for being the only model in the 300,000 yuan price bracket within the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance to feature an L3-level autonomous driving architecture design.
Technical specifications include a wheelbase of 3,000 mm and a body length of 5,020 mm. The vehicle utilizes Huawei’s 800V high-voltage platform and includes advanced safety features such as the ‘Black Box’ technology for battery monitoring and the CAS 5.0 all-dimensional collision prevention system. The design was influenced by high-end aesthetics, with some reports noting visual similarities to the Ferrari Purosangue.
