Automotive industry sees brand shifts and new EV launches

The automotive industry is seeing significant shifts in brand management and product launches. Seres Group has announced a change in the cooperation model for the AITO brand under Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance. While Huawei will continue to provide technical empowerment, Seres will now lead product definition, design, marketing, and sales channels. This move aims to strengthen AITO’s premium positioning through a “technology + luxury” integrated system.

In the electric vehicle sector, several new models are entering the market. FAW-Volkswagen has launched the ID. AURA T6 electric SUV in China, featuring LiDAR technology in higher-end variants. Additionally, the Fang Cheng S, a pure electric coupe from BYD’s Fang Cheng Bao brand, has begun appearing in retail stores with high consumer interest in its four-wheel-drive versions.

Mitsubishi Motors is expanding its Eclipse Cross lineup in Europe with new battery options, including a 67 kWh LFP battery and an upgraded 89 kWh NMC battery, aiming for ranges up to 641 km. The updated model is expected to be available by late 2026.
