Luxembourg launches construction of NEOS space campus

Luxembourg has officially commenced construction of the NEOS space campus in Kockelscheuer, located within the ParcLuxite business park. The project, described as one of the country’s most significant industrial undertakings of the decade, aims to consolidate the nation’s space sector players onto a single site to bolster its position as a leading European space nation.

The campus will feature a central five-storey building named Nova, covering approximately 10,000 m². This facility is intended to house the headquarters of the Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA), an incubator and startup spaces operated by Technoport, and office space for small and medium-sized enterprises. Additionally, the site will include a national test centre, conference halls, and collaborative spaces designed to facilitate exchange between academic, industrial, and public actors.

The ceremonial groundbreaking was attended by Prime Minister Luc Frieden, Economy Minister Lex Delles, Finance Minister Gilles Roth, and Roeser Mayor Tom Jungen. The development is being executed by the Luxembourgish construction firm CDCL.
