Luxembourg Rave Participants Charged Over Nature Reserve Violations
Sixty‑three people who attended an unregistered rave in a nature reserve near Heinerscheid are to appear before the police court in Diekirch. The oral hearing begins on 24 November and is scheduled for four days. Prosecutors allege violations of Luxembourg’s nature‑protection law, exposing the defendants to heavy fines and, in some cases, imprisonment.
The party took place at the end of July 2025 and was halted by police after a large number of vehicles, including trucks and campers, entered the protected forest area. Police detained 19 individuals at the time and seized sound‑equipment and trucks, whose value may exceed the potential fines. Separate alleged drug‑related offences uncovered during the raid will be dealt with in a different proceeding.
