Luxembourg recalls eggs over salmonella risk

Luxembourg's veterinary and food authority (ALVA) has recalled two lots of ground‑raised hen eggs marketed under the Econom and Everyday brands after a possible Salmonella contamination. The recall covers 30‑egg packs of Econom and 12‑egg packs of Everyday sold since 15 April, with best‑before dates up to 29 May 2026.

Retailer Colruyt Group, which operates Colruyt and Okay stores, has asked customers to return the affected eggs. Consumers are advised to discard the products or seek medical attention if they experience nausea, gastrointestinal symptoms, fever or headache within 6–72 hours after consumption, especially vulnerable individuals such as the elderly or immunocompromised.
