Luxembourg to host major cycling and road racing events in September 2026

Luxembourg will host two significant sporting events in September 2026. The Škoda Tour de Luxembourg, part of the UCI ProSeries, is scheduled to take place from September 16 to 20. The race will cover over 700 kilometers across five days, featuring a mix of urban circuits, climbs, and an individual time trial. On the first day, September 16, the race is expected to pass through Larochette between 15:18 and 15:20, necessitating temporary traffic interruptions.

Additionally, the second edition of ‘LëtzMile – Luxembourg City Road Mile’ will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Avenue de la Liberté. To facilitate the event, several streets including Avenue de la Liberté, Rue Goethe, and Rue Schiller will be closed to traffic from 12:00 to 19:00. While municipal buses and the tramway will not be affected, motorists should expect disruptions near the Martyrs parking area between 16:20 and 17:40.
