Luxury collector car market sees high-value Ferrari and Lamborghini auctions

The collector car market continues to show significant momentum following a record-breaking Monterey Car Week, where five auction houses generated $762 million. RM Sotheby's is preparing for upcoming auctions, including a late-October event in London.

Featured in upcoming sales are high-value supercars, including a 1990 Ferrari F40 estimated to sell between $2,450,000 and $3,270,000. Data from Hagerty indicates that F40 values have seen substantial appreciation, with some models increasing in value by over 50% since July 2025.

Additionally, a rare 1979 Lamborghini Countach LP400 S Series I is being highlighted. Considered one of the best-preserved examples of its series, the vehicle features its original factory paint and interior, with only 1,803 kilometers on the odometer. It carries an estimated value between $2.2 million and $2.6 million.
