Luxury fashion brands transform retail into cultural experiences

The fashion industry is shifting toward experiential retail for the autumn 2026 season, with boutiques evolving into spaces that resemble art galleries or private museums. Major houses are focusing on sensory journeys that combine high fashion with art installations and fine dining.

In Milan, Prada has opened the Prada Galleria, an eight-level vertical complex within the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. The space integrates archival fashion, hospitality, and visual arts, featuring the permanent Pradasphere exhibition and a private apartment displaying photography by Andreas Gursky. The complex also includes a Marchesi 1824 café and the Fondazione Prada Observatory.

Additionally, Dior House Milano has introduced the Monsieur Dior restaurant, designed by Michelin-starred chef Enrico Bartolini. The interior, designed by architect Peter Marino, aims to blend French lighting with Milanese elegance.

Regarding beauty trends for the season, manicure palettes are moving away from single dominant shades toward complex combinations. Expected colors include chocolate brown, coffee, plum, burgundy, vanilla, and deep shades of green and blue, often accented with graphic elements like micro-French tips or small polka dots.
