Luxury hospitality expands in Mexico with new resort openings

Luxury hospitality developments continue to expand in Mexico's coastal regions. In the Riviera Maya, Alila Mayakoba has opened as the first property of its brand in Latin America, featuring architecture designed by Huber Design that utilizes local materials like limestone and tropical wood to integrate with the surrounding mangroves and lagoons.

At the Fairmont Mayakoba, chefs Roberto Alcocer and Daniel Noguera are scheduled to host a collaborative cooking class on October 29 at El Pueblito Mayakoba. The event aims to showcase contemporary Mexican gastronomy and sustainable culinary techniques.

In the Riviera Nayarit, Rosewood Mandarina has launched its fourth property in Mexico. Located near Puerto Vallarta, the resort consists of 134 suites distributed across mountain, beach, and plain ecosystems, emphasizing local Wixárika craftsmanship and regional natural history.
