Luxury hospitality sector expands in Alagoas, Brazil

The hospitality market in Alagoas is seeing a shift toward wellness and high-end boutique experiences. The Ritz Lagoa da Anta in Maceió has transitioned to a ‘Hotel & Wellness’ concept, integrating spa services, sports, and gastronomy into its guest experience. This move aligns with global wellness economy trends, which reached US$ 6.8 trillion in 2024.

In Porto de Pedras, the Origem Patacho Design Hotel has completed its first year of operation. Despite having only 12 accommodations, the hotel has hosted over 1,700 guests from 17 different countries. The region is increasingly recognized for luxury nature tourism, supported by the Blue Flag certification for Patacho and Lajes beaches, which validates water quality and environmental management.
