Luxury hotel expansions planned across Asia for late 2026

Several major luxury hotel brands are preparing for significant openings across Asia scheduled for the final months of 2026. These developments include the debut of Park Hyatt Phu Quoc in Vietnam, a resort inspired by traditional Vietnamese coastal villages. The property will feature 114 guestrooms and suites, 54 pool villas, and an eight-bedroom private residence known as The Manor.

In Malaysia, multiple properties are slated to open, including the Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur, which will offer 272 suites and extensive event space, and the JW Marriott Johor Bahru. Other planned openings in the region include La Résidence Phou Vao in Luang Prabang, Laos, and several Marriott-branded properties in Thailand, specifically in Krabi and Bangkok. Additionally, Hotel The Mitsui Hakone is expected to launch in Japan, and new accommodations are planned for Seoul’s Dongdaemun district.
