Luxury perfume houses expand miniature fragrance collections

The fragrance market is seeing a rise in the popularity of miniature perfumes, which allow consumers to diversify their olfactory collections without significant expense. Luxury houses are increasingly offering curated sets in smaller formats.

Notable offerings include Diptyque’s ‘Les Essences de Diptyque’ collection, featuring five 10 ml creations inspired by natural elements like nacre and rose, priced at 180 euros. D’Orsay has released a limited edition ‘Coffret Prestige’ containing fifteen 10 ml non-gendered fragrances for 450 euros. Parfums de Marly offers a ‘Coffret Collectionneur’ with eighteen 5 ml fragrances, including Delina and Layton, for 340 euros.

Beyond miniatures, certain signature scents remain highly impactful for their ability to leave a lasting impression. Fragrances such as Miss Dior Essence de Dior, known for its balance of blackberry, elderflower, and jasmine, and Byredo’s Gypsy Water Absolu, which features notes of black pepper, pine needles, and incense, are highlighted for their distinct sillage and ability to garner compliments.
