Luxury safari operators expand offerings in Kenya and Tanzania

The luxury safari sector in East Africa is seeing expansion through new property openings and specialized programming.

Soroi Collection has expanded its Kenyan portfolio with the launch of Soroi Amboseli, located within Amboseli National Park, and Soroi Blue, a 10-room boutique property on Diani Beach. These additions allow for integrated itineraries combining safari regions like Maasai Mara and Samburu with the Indian Ocean coast. Soroi Amboseli offers luxury tents and suites with amenities such as an infinity pool and bush spa, while Soroi Blue provides activities including deep-sea fishing and dolphin safaris.

Simultaneously, Elewana Collection is expanding its family-oriented safari programmes across lodges in Kenya and Tanzania. Responding to demand for multi-generational travel, the company has introduced age-appropriate activities for children as young as three, including conservation lessons, traditional games, and garden-to-table cooking experiences. To manage this initiative, Elewana has appointed Natasha Wissanji as the new Head of Family Experiences.
