Luxury truck seized in São Manuel for suspected cloning

Military Police in São Manuel, Brazil, seized a black Ram pickup truck suspected of being a cloned vehicle. The operation was initiated after reports surfaced of identical license plates appearing in different municipalities at similar times.

During an inspection by the Força Tática unit, officers discovered discrepancies in the vehicle's identification tags, glass markings, and chassis number. A system search confirmed the vehicle's original registration belonged to a different municipality.

A 50-year-old driver, who claimed to have recently purchased the truck through a negotiation, was unable to provide vehicle documentation or proof of transaction. He was taken to the Botucatu Police Station on charges of tampering with a motor vehicle's identifying signals but was released after giving a statement.
