Luxury watchmakers debut unique mechanical designs
Recent developments in luxury and mechanical watch design highlight unique aesthetic and functional innovations.
Harry Winston has introduced the Opus 14, a timepiece inspired by the design of a jukebox. The watch features a patented miniature mechanism that utilizes a function library with four display panels. Users can select between local time, GMT, date, and a star indicator via a selector at the 9 o'clock position. The design incorporates retro elements such as a red retrograded minute curve dial and blue time markers.
In the sector of slim mechanical watches, ZEROO has released the M6 UFO. This manual-wind timepiece features a tonneau-shaped case with a thickness of only 11mm. By utilizing a manual-wind movement without a rotor, the watch offers a clear view of the internal mechanics through sapphire crystal on both sides. The M6 UFO is constructed from 316L stainless steel and is available in multiple dial and strap combinations, featuring a skeleton dial with a guilloché-style pyramid pattern.
