Luz releases first book inspired by Beaubourg and Charlie Hebdo

Cartoonist Luz is releasing his first book, titled ‘Un diamant dans les gravats’, published by Stock. The work was inspired by a night spent at the Beaubourg museum in Paris while it was closed for renovations.

During his time in the deserted museum, Luz reflected on both the artistic history of the space and his own personal trauma following the 2015 attack on Charlie Hebdo, which claimed the lives of several of his colleagues. The book incorporates sketches made during his night at the museum and explores the intersection of his past as a press cartoonist and his current experiences.
