Luzhou police provide emergency escort for man in critical condition
Police in the Luzhou District of New Taipei City provided an emergency escort to help a 68-year-old man reach the hospital after he collapsed following a banquet. The man, who has a medical history of hypertension, diabetes, and asthma, reportedly experienced limb paralysis and loss of consciousness after consuming alcohol.
Due to heavy rush-hour traffic, the man's wife sought assistance from the Jixian Police Station. Officers Wu Yue-qi and Huang Ming-juan used a patrol car to clear a path through congestion, reducing the estimated 20-minute travel time to just five minutes. The patient arrived at the Shin Kong Hospital emergency room in time for life-saving treatment and has since recovered and been discharged.
