Álvaro Ballero addresses criticism over reality‑show conduct

Chilean TV personality Álvaro Ballero used Instagram to respond to the backlash generated by his participation in the reality program “Volverías con tu ex? 2”. He rejected labels such as "loco", "energúmeno", "narcisista" and "celópata", stating, “no soy el ogro que todas pintan”.

Ballero said the 17‑year marriage with ex‑wife Ludmila Ksenofontova had both hard and happy moments and that he entered the show to “buscar el amor y volver a retomar el proyecto más importante en mi vida, que es la familia”. He announced he is working with a female therapist, mentioned ongoing assessments for an autism spectrum disorder that were inconclusive, but confirmed he has attention‑deficit traits. He pledged to improve as a father and promised a future “mea culpa”.
