Álvaro García wins Albatros Scratch title at Montecastillo Golf

Jerez‑born golfer Álvaro García claimed the Scratch title at the seventh stop of the Albatros Circuit, held Sunday at Montecastillo Golf, a Jack Nicklaus‑designed course. He posted 31 gross points over the par‑72 layout, a victory that guarantees his place in the Grand Final scheduled for 1 November at Club de Golf Playa Serena in Roquetas de Mar, Almería.

The tournament also determined the First Category winner, Manuel Gutiérrez‑Mellado, who prevailed on handicap after a three‑way tie, with Luis Ferrer's and Salvador Espinosa's positions settled. In the Second Category, Julián Cobo edged out Briton Ryan Greenland by two points, while Manuel Cañavate finished third. The circuit will continue with events in Portugal, Marbella, Sotogrande and Madrid through October.
