Álvaro Morata sent off in Leganés defeat against Córdoba

Álvaro Morata experienced a difficult outing for CD Leganés during their 0-1 defeat against Córdoba. After entering the match as a substitute in the 63rd minute, the Spanish international was sent off following two yellow cards.

His first caution occurred just seven minutes after his introduction. The second yellow card was issued during stoppage time following a heated protest against the referee regarding a foul on teammate Suleiman. Morata remained visibly frustrated while leaving the pitch, requiring teammates to intervene to prevent further escalation.

Leganés manager Rubén Albés partially defended the striker, questioning the validity of the first booking while admitting Morata lost his composure during the second incident. The loss marks Leganés' fourth consecutive defeat in the Segunda División, and Morata has yet to score a goal since joining the club on loan from Como.
