Álvaro Salas publishes book on Mazinger Z legacy

Author Álvaro Salas has released a new book, “Mazinger Z: The Legacy of the Mechanical Brutes,” which documents the history of the iconic animated series. Published by Dolmen Editorial, the work serves as a comprehensive reference manual, featuring unpublished information and designs of the giant robots featured in the show.

The book explores the cultural impact of the series, noting how it captivated a generation. In Spain, Televisión Española aired only 33 of the 92 available episodes between March and September 1978 due to broadcasting rights limitations and scheduling commitments to other programs. Salas, inspired by his passion for layout and design, developed the book to document the various monsters and mechanical figures from the series.
