Álvaro Sanhueza criticizes Mucho Gusto work environment

Journalist Álvaro Sanhueza has shared testimonies regarding a difficult working environment during his time at the Chilean morning show Mucho Gusto, broadcast by Mega. Speaking on his web program, ‘La Realidad de la TV’, Sanhueza described a disconnect between the cordial image presented on screen and the internal reality of the production team.

Sanhueza criticized a change in administration that saw a producer nicknamed ‘El rubiecito’ promoted to a top leadership position. He described the individual as a “despot” toward the general staff while maintaining a friendly demeanor with hosts and guests. Sanhueza recounted a specific incident where a journalist editor was publicly humiliated to the point of tears in front of the entire team, noting that neither he nor the show's prominent hosts intervened at the time.
