Álvaro Siza Vieira completes Casa Colien in Barcelona

The Casa Colien project, designed by architect Álvaro Siza Vieira, has been completed in Barcelona. The architectural design features a compact volume that descends in a stepped manner to accommodate the slope of the terrain relative to the access street.

Developed between 2011 and 2015, the construction phase took place from 2016 to 2023. The project covers a built area of approximately 556 square meters on a 1,611 square meter plot. The design prioritized minimal intervention regarding the site's existing topography and vegetation.
