LVBP security measures finalized for upcoming baseball season

Venezuelan security agencies and the Liga Venezolana de Béisbol Profesional (LVBP) are coordinating protection strategies ahead of the upcoming 2024-2025 season. During a coordination meeting, officials outlined plans to safeguard players, referees, families, and fans, as well as to protect stadiums, hotels, and transport routes.

Security forces, including state and municipal police, the CICPC, and the National Risk Management System, will be deployed across 5,094 peace quadrants to ensure safety during the tournament.

The regular season is scheduled to begin on October 12 with a matchup between Navegantes del Magallanes and Tiburones de La Guaira in Valencia. Other franchises will begin play shortly thereafter, with the regular season expected to conclude on December 27.
